FFGW makes its adoption services available to pet owners when they can no longer keep their companion cat.  Cats remain in their owners' care and custody while suitable adoptive homes are sought.  While registered with the Placement Program, owners are free—and are encouraged—to diligently pursue alternative adoption opportunities by networking with family, friends, neighbors, coworkers, veterinarians and other rescue groups. 
Regrettably, we cannot guarantee that your cat will be adopted if you use our services.

 To register your cat, you must complete a Placement Form to provide us with information to help us match your cat with appropriate applicants, then mail (DO NOT FAX) the completed form to us, together with a complete copy of your cat's vet records and a photograph to post on our web site and newsletter — the photo really enhances your cat's chances for adoption! (Please put your cat's name and your last name on the back of "hard" photos or in the file name of digital photos). Incomplete forms and forms submitted without vet records will not be processed!

You will also need to have a copy of our Adoption Contract on hand to fill out if a referred approved applicant visits you and decides to adopt your cat -- you sign the contract as FFGW's witness, collect the adoption donation, and send the signed contract and donation to us!

Unless you adopted your cat from the Feline Foundation, we regrettably cannot guarantee that your cat will be adopted and cannot provide a foster home for your pet.  If you adopted your cat from FFGW, the following items will help us locate your file and speed your cat's return into our system:  a copy of your adoption contract, your cat's FFGW name, when you adopted and/or the name and address that would have appeared on your adoption application and contract.
