This page is a quiet place to remember and honor the departed (only from this earth) kitty companions of our supporters.  We owe so much to the animals who befriend us so selflessly and yet we can barely begin to express the thanks we feel for their love.  This page allows for a valiant attempt at expressing that thanks and never-ending love in return.  We know you'll find at least one kitty on this page who touches a tingle of recognition in your heart for a kitty you remember also.

Misha
My sweet Misha! I miss you so much. You suffered so much in your last three weeks, but you still purred! I thought weʼd be together for much longer but the infection was too much for you. I will miss your sleeping above my head on my pillow and kneading my hair. I didnʼt know when I adopted you from the Feline Foundation how much of an impact you would have on my life and how incomplete it is without you. I think of the 12 years we had together and realize how lucky I was to have you! From Jeannette

Bailey
Our sweet Bailey (aka Skip, which you had named him) came into our lives two years ago. He was a sweet, sensitive boy, who brought great joy and love into our lives. I would call him and he would come running. He enjoyed bird and squirrel watching, and wrestling with his “brother,” whom we adopted at the same time. They both loved to curl up and sleep with us. We know that we and the vets at the emergency hospital did all they could, and we know that he is waiting for us at the Bridge. We are thankful to the Feline Foundation for bringing two great cats into our lives, and are only sorry Bailey couldn’t have stayed with us much longer. His beautiful spirit will remain in our hearts forever. Tom & Karen Dunham & Dylan Cat

Sporty
It's hard to remember our life without Sporty, even though she was only with us for a short 14 months -- she became such an important part of our family. She literally adopted us - we live near a house that fosters FFGW kitties until permanent homes are found. Our son fell in love with the precocious black and white little kitty and we were so proud when he went, on his own, to ask Janet if the little black and white kitty was available for adoption. It was an answer to everyone's prayers, including our own even though we didn't know it. Sporty was a rescued Mom-kitty; all of her kittens were adopted out but no one seemed to want little Sporty and she wasn't getting along with the other cats. So, Sporty came to our home and became part of our family. It was an answer to our prayers because our older cat, Alison's (a graceful yet aged 21 years old) health was failing. One year after Sporty came into our family, we had to let Alison go. It was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do -- Alison was part of our family for 20 years (she was rescued and adopted to us in 1986). But our lovely Sporty-kitty helped ease the pain. It was a horrible night that we lost Sporty and one that we'll never forget. I cannot think of that night without much sadness and tears. My husband put his feelings into words that strike so true for me: cats are connected to our very souls. Sporty came to us for a reason - we REALLY needed her, much more than she needed us. Perhaps she is, at this very moment, coming into someone else's life -- maybe a little girl or boy or family that really needs her. She was our little angel kitty and we'll never forget her love, trust, grace and soul. Even though she was with us for so short a time, we feel her absence **terribly**. Thank you dear Sporty-kitty for being a part of our family; you'll always be in our hearts and on our minds. -- The Reidy family

Meli
MY MELI -- January 1990 to July 17, 2006. Sweet dreams Meli Mou. When you were created, they threw away the mold. Sixteen years together was not enough, but I knew you had to go on your journey. I miss your head on the pillow next to me when we slept; you steadfastly at my side after my surgeries, protecting me... not getting up until I did, and following me wherever I went in the house - including watching me in the shower until you knew I was safely out and drying off. Nyssa keeps going into the closet looking for you and calling for you. I know she remembers all of us saying our last goodbye's to you, as you gently began your crossing of the Rainbow Bridge. Nyssa still calls for you daily. I know you have your feta cheese, peanut butter, and menthol cough drops on the other side of the Bridge. We know you are watching over us until we are all together again. We love you and miss you. Sylvia and Nyssa

Minnie
IN LOVING MEMORY OF MINNIE, August 8, 1988 - July 17, 2006. I will miss that sweet little girl. Angela Petrillo
