Our beautiful little lady was adopted when she was about 6 months old and returned to us in 2011. Jemma's a gentle, funny girl who will flop over onto her side for tummy rubs when she hears the command "Flopper!" (She may not feel up to performing her trick for strangers, but give it a try—she may surprise you!) Jemma gets along wonderfully with her foster parents' three young daughters as well as the other cats in her foster home (except for one crabby tabby). The only thing she hasn't enjoyed in foster care so far are the family's two exuberant dogs, who she met on a bold trip through the cat door at the top of the stairs between the family room (a dog free zone) and the main floor of the house. While we think that Jemma is perfect in every way, she is a special needs kitty, with well controlled hyperthyroidism and a sensitive tummy. The latter problem led to her return by her adoptive family, but thanks to a switch to a special diet and medication every day, those troubles are behind her. Her foster mom—who is also her veterinarian—reports that Jemma is super-easy to medicate. If you are lucky enough to adopt Jemma, she will come with her own fluffy pink bed selected by her foster sisters and a generous supply of her food and medications from FFGW!
