This pristine white beauty has lived through a myriad of challenges in her short year of life. Although she was evidently loved in her former life, she was not spayed by her owners and nearly died in labor while attempting to give birth to a litter of kittens. Thankfully, she was rushed to an emergency veterinary facility where FFGW took over her care and medical expenses then transferred her to a foster home when she was declared medically sound enough to leave the hospital. She was dubbed “Suraya,” which is Persian for princess, because of her incredible beauty and the hope that she’ll become someone’s little princess and live happily ever after. Suraya’s huge golden eyes radiate her intelligence and zest for life. She’s active, curious and very friendly, although she has a definite opinion about how she expresses her affection. She prefers to rub back and forth against her foster mom in lieu of being picked up or held. Suraya would probably be happiest as an only cat with a human who adores the challenge of a smart, playful, strong willed kitty wrapped in a soft white package. While we wish she thought otherwise, Suraya needs safe outdoor access to be truly happy. A quiet family with a cat-fenced yard (Alley Cat Allies recommends the design found at www.purrfectfence.com) would be her dream come true!
Update February 2014: Our little girl has won the heart of a family with a home where she can safely indulge her passion for al fresco activities. Happy Valentines day!
