Officially rescued on the 4th of July 2007, this handsome, gentle giant's FFGW story began on June 28th, when an FFGW volunteer stopped at a highway rest stop while en route home from Pittsburgh. The volunteer learned that Morrison had just shown up one day about 2 months previously. (Sadly, cat abandonment is a common occurrence high way rest stops.) Our volunteer returned on July 4 armed with a carrier and other cat-catching equipment (a humane trap, canned food and heavy gloves.. The trap and gloves proved unnecessary-Morrison happily walked into the carrier in pursuit of Fancy Feast. In foster care, Morrison has proved to be as sweet as he seemed at the rest stop. He loves affection of all kinds and l-o-o-ves to be combed and brushed. And he LOVES to play! That proved to be a very good thing. We noticed that Morrison was panting heavily after especially vigorous games of feather chase. It turns out that Morrison has a heart condition. Now that he's on medication, he's got even more energy and love to give to a special someone whose heart is big enough to take a chance on a special needs kitty.
