Fern’s saga plays out like a reality television show. This tiny charmer was, like so many other young females, a stray kitty that appeared at the door of a kind hearted person. He provided her with food and she thanked him with huge purrs and head butts. As the weeks passed, Fern’s human friend decided it was time to have the friendly little vagabond spayed and vetted…..here’s where the story becomes interesting….so he picked her up to place her in a carrier, felt her belly and discovered that she was very pregnant - so pregnant that she gave birth to two kittens inside the carrier and two more in his office. Wilbur, June2, Simba and Elton were in such a hurry to enter the world that they just couldn’t wait. Fortunately for Fern and her fabulous foursome, the mentor transported the family to a Feline Foundation veterinary hospital where they over-nighted and were moved to a foster home the next day. Fern has been an incredible mommy and her kittens are all as friendly and sweet tempered as she’s shown herself to be. This brave little mom deserves nothing less than a lifetime of love and security.
